I can't thank you enough for following along on this journey with me! I thought you might enjoy a little background on how this journey started...
A year and a half ago my husband and I found out we were expecting our third baby boy and immediately knew the 1200 square foot house we were living in with its one shower was just not going to work long term. I was annoyed sharing a shower with fifty bath toys and can only imagine the arguments of sharing one shower with four men in the future. So anyway.... it was time to move.
We bought a beautiful acre lot and began the process to build our dream home, but the further we got into the process we found we were uncomfortable with the practices and traits of the architectural firm we had been following and dreaming of using for years. So, instead of searching for a new builder- we made a pivot in our plans and sold the beautiful plot.
Soon we were back searching Zillow, and coming up empty handed for anything with our style that fit our needs in the two towns we were hoping to live in. Enter the discussion of a fixer-upper. Our home isn't exactly your average fixer. It is a beautiful nearly 3000 sq foot colonial that was top of the line in 1993. Unfortunately, every owner of this home lived with what was here from day one- all the way down to the floral wallpaper covered kitchen and dining nook, NOT exactly my style.
I love following DIY and design influencers and bloggers
and have been doing so for many years. I thought maybe the transformation that we were doing to our home might be attainable and interesting to others so instagrahamhome was born! The page has been a ton of fun and hopefully might encourage you to tackle some projects in your home as well. If you would like to support me in my endeavors I would LOVE if you would share my page with friends or LIKE the pictures on my Instagram feed. Those things mean a lot to me and to businesses that might consider working with me in the future. Thank you so much for your support and let me know what you might like to see from my Instagram or this blog!
Here are a few of the projects we have completed already!
